ShowMagic SLX512 has been running all the lighting and controlling the moving rigs at the Batley Variety Club for nearly three years. Here's what they say:

A ShowMagic AV system has been installed at Eureka, Halifax to run the 'Orby' show. Every hour the video with 5.1 surround sound & synchronised lighting effects is automatically played in the sound space area.

In between shows, visitors can select one of three themes - City, Countryside or Seaside - using three buttons and appropriate images are displayed on the big screen.

The levels of 6 channels of looping sound effects for each theme can be mixed using 6 Analogue sliders.

The overall colour in the area can be controlled using 3 sliders for Cyan, Magenta & Yellow, and visitors can also move a spotlight around the area using an analogue joystick.

The 'Predator & Prey' show at Magna is the first show of its kind in the world, and all the technical elements of the show are handled by a single ShowMagic AV512 system.

By using a simple 4 button hand-held controller the show presenter has total, live control of the whole show, including starting, stopping, pausing the show, moving on to the next step or going back a step.

The show includes fully integrated video playback, sound FX / music playback and lighting effects control, all perfectly synchronized with the simple press of a button!

A ShowMagic SLX128 system automatically controls the generic lighting & LED lighting fixtures at Puccinos restaurant, as well as ensuring that the audio levels throughout the venue are always set to their optimum for the time of day.

The manager can however override, at any time, any scheduled audio or lighting settings (to allow for any unexpected changes in trade etc.) with one touch on a touchscreen.

The lighting and synchronized sound FX in all seven chambers at Wookey Hole Caves, Somerset is now being handled by one ShowMagic SLX256 system.

A ShowMagic desk file can be loaded for the normal cave tours or another can be selected to handle completely different lighting and sound FX for special 'Spook Night' tours - with the same buttons in the chambers performing completely different functions in each tour.

Default 'Entry' settings are run between scheduled times of day until a tour guide arrives in each cavern and presses buttons to achieve the right effects at just the right time in their tour. After the tour passes to the next chamber, the default settings are automatically re-run again ready for the next tour.
